Code of Ethics

Participating Hosts of A Minute For Your Money agree to abide by and uphold the following Code of Ethics:

•     I will conduct myself in a professional manner at all times.

•     I will provide financial education to consumers and the general public that promotes the understanding of financial concepts, financial products, and financial markets.

•     I will donate a portion of both my time and financial resources to consumer financial education.

•     I will dedicate up to 10 hours per month of my time to providing pro bono financial advice and counseling to the public for which I do not charge a fee or bill for my time.

•     I will present financial concepts, products and markets in a way that is fair and balanced.

•     I will put the interests of my clients and those that seek my help in financial matters first and ahead of my own interests.

•     I will continually improve my own financial knowledge through continuing education so I may better educate the public.

Advisor Qualifications:

In order to qualify to be part of this program each Financial Advisor must fit this profile as a minimum and without exception.

1.   Be a legal resident of the United States of America

2.   Be properly licensed for insurance and securities in the states in which they practice and conduct business

3.   Agrees to abide by the licensing agreements with Resource Media and any of its affiliates.

4.     Has submitted to a background check and have been approved to do business by a FINRA member broker dealer and/or a state or SEC registered investment advisor

5.   Has not have been convicted of any financial crimes or crimes involving defrauding the public.

6.   Agrees to hold themselves to the highest standards of ethical conduct in their financial practice and in dealing with the public.

7.   Is committed to promoting financial education to consumers and the public and be willing to donate their time to this cause.

8.    Agrees to provide up to 10 hours per month of consultations to members of the public on a pro bono basis, where they neither charge or bill the individual seeking their help or advice.
